NZ 4WD Radio Network HF Frequencies

New Zealand 4WD Radio Network

The New Zealand 4WD Radio Network, similar to the Australian VKS737 network, is a HF radio network for safety and general and emergency communications.
It is primarily used by 4WD enthusiasts whilst travelling in remote areas of the country where mobile phone and CB/PRS coverage is inadequate. Transceivers operate on 100 W PEP.

This is a controlled network with several bases around the country - manned 24 hrs 365 days. The network allows for Selcall, Telcall, GPS tracking, SMS, and weather via HF.
